Blue Dot Maker Shop is launching…
Blue Dot HOPE
Hand Up…
Not a Hand Out
Mutual Aid is a growing need currently. What if we had a safe place to talk about needs with a Hands Up and not a Hand Out posture?
Opportunities to Grow
I recently had a really hard conversation on Social Media. It had a lot to do with race and touched on a number of potential “landmine” topics.
It was long.
It was hard.
I fucked up a few times
I thanked the woman I was chatting with and apologized.
I also apologized to the woman who wrote the initial thread, because I had overwhelmed it I overtook it. (another fuck up…yep).
Hours later I saw someone reply to something else I posted and was told to delete myself…that the word I used meant I was unsafe.
What if we had a safe space to have those daunting conversations and work towards a healed USA and world?
Products and Services
I’m launching a site to sell Blue Dots, Rainbow Dots and Sunset Dots. What are Dots?
Blue Dots is a term used to represent Democrats who are located in a Red State. Instead of the state being Blue it is Red and they are a solo dot in a sea of red.
My store is going to lift up the marginalized artist and do all we can to get rid of the phrase “starving artist”. Artists need to make money to support themselves and it is time we valued that as a society.
During Pre-Launch I’ll be selling lifetime memberships and partnering with marginalized artists to help me build.
I’ll also be offering some custom products. I use stickers and don’t want to protect the artists and make sure they make money.
In 2026 we will launch a subscription model where you can shop and support artists. Yes, there will be a monthly fee and part of that fee will go directly to the artists you will be buying from. Let’s change the model and make life affordable again.
Encouragement and Education
The conversation I had on Threads the other day opened my eyes. I texted at one point that I had lost a lot of relationships since 2021.
I left my church of 30 years when I realized it was no longer safe for the LGBTQ+ people I love
COVID…enough said.
I was a worship team member for almost 30 years and had a major community at church. When I left I disappeared. A big part of why I left was because the church didn’t provide me a safe place to ask hard questions and process what it means to love LGBTQ+ people in a world of Judgement, Isolation, Insulation and Trauma from life.
A wedding within our extended family was the first family event Post Covid.
One quarter of the family was not invited.
Another quarter wasn’t told that there were exclusions.
One quarter had someone come out as Queer and hadn’t been with family due to Covid and politics.
The final quarter chose to not have the hard conversations that I unfortunately stumbled into after the wedding reception.
We all have a lot of these types of situations in our families post Covid. What if we had a safe place to do some restoration and healing?
